"The Origin of a Species"

Stuck in 1859, Phoenix is in the company of Nathaniel Essex, while Cyclops has been captured by Apocalypse and taken to the sewers of London. Phoenix attempts to persuade Essex to turn down Apocalypse's offer of immortality. Essex leaves on his own and returns home to his wife to find that she has lost their baby and is about to die herself. Phoenix makes her way to the sewers to free Cyclops but is captured herself. Essex, having lost both wife and child, has found his way into the sewers to accept Apocalypse's offer. Now, with all hope seemingly lost, Cyclops and Phoenix are freed by the freaks that Essex had been experimenting on.
