Item Biography

"What If... the Avengers Were the Last Superheroes on Earth?"

A time-traveling figure named the Scarlet Centurion arrives at the exact moment when the five original Avengers were about to split.
The Centurion convinces the Avengers that they must defeat and apprehend all super-powered beings to avert cosmic-scale catastrophe in the future timeline, already witnessed by the temporal journeyman.
The Avengers set about their task with superhuman zeal. When each target has been brought to heel the Centurion neutralizes their super-powers.
The Avengers soon realize that they have been duped into eradicating the threat of all metahumans so that the Scarlet Centurion can
conquer Earth at his leisure.
As the remaining members fall like flies before the Centurion, it becomes necessary for Thor to assert his God-like superiority.

"... The Search for the Great Refuge!"

Black Bolt searches for a deserted area for his Inhuman race to settle in, safe from the intrusions of hostile humans. His path crosses with the Eternals. Zuras grants Black Bolt a favor through his benevolence. The Eternals en masse locate a region in the Himalayas and excavate the earth ready for the foundations of a new hidden city.

"What If... Sub-Mariner Never Regained His Memory?"

An amnesiac Namor takes to a sea-faring life. When the crew mates mutiny during an Arctic expedition, the Sub-Mariner's strength is revealed.
