As She-Hulk's team of female super-heroes, the Lady Liberators, attempt to bring relief to the area devastated by an earthquake in Marinmer, politics come into play as they are challenged by Russia's super-team, the Winter Guard. The fight over borders and ideologies escalates, oblivious to the humanitarian need around it, until it cannot be ignored. Hostilities are put aside and cooperation follows. Later, She-Hulk is invited to a diplomatic session with the despotic dictator of Marinmer. She agrees to the session, smelling a trap, but welcoming the confrontation.
