A silly but fun read! HOLY WAR! GRRRR!
Okay people, lets take a step back in time to the treatorous 90s! Do we dare? Of course we do!
Okay, we're in the 90s. Now lets work out way through the vast ocean of bad hair cuts, gigantic muscles, colossal guns and over the top fight scenes to the realm of The Punisher!
Here we are, we've found ourselves face to face with The Punisher #30 and what do we think?
Well I cant possably answer on behalf of all you folks, so I'll just tell you what I thought of the issue!
The issue is called Holy War (although this title is a tad misleading) and we see Frank taking down a killer called The Bayside Butcher.
Frank doesnt intend to take down this guy at the very start of the issue, he seems lost as if he has nothing to do. But then he starts talking to his local priest at church, who just happens to let slip the details about a killer who attends the very church they are in.
Frank gets more info from various sources and sets about hunting this guy down, and the issue itself is all in all a lot of fun with some great artwork!
The only thing which makes me say this issue comes across as hillariously 'silly' is that there is an aweful lot of assumptions made in this issue, by this I mean Frank seems to just know the answers to his questions without even knowing.
He spends most of his time answering his own questions halfway through he is actually asking that person, and then kind of just walks off saying to himself "ah yes, I need to go here, thats a great idea!" before anyone has told him anything.
While as hillarious and silly as this is to read, it makes the comic flow nicely and makes it enjoyable in the long run.
Its not the greatest of Punisher stories, but hey, its a bit of light fun 90s trash!
