An Intoxicating Comic

George RR Martin does a great service to the Vampire genre locating it in Pre-Civil War America and in New Orleans. Slavery is encountered in the first pages of the first issue and vampires are not far behind. What I find intoxicating is the ambiance portrayed and the details in the illustrations giving this comic a great presentation. This is a good series that is highly recommended to all comic fans.
