An Ending and a Beginning

A really nice epilogue to a multi-book storyline that was months in the making. As the Guardians of the Galaxy team and Nova Corps come to an end, a new Superhero team, the Annihilators rise from the ashes. The Cancerverse is destroyed but a huge price is paid as Star-Lord and Nova are trapped (killed?) within it. We learn that just moments before the very end of the Cancerverse, Star-Lord imparts a final wish upon Cosmo: Assemble a team of cosmic heavy-hitters and carry on. The Silver Surfer refers to this team as The Last Resort, The Ultimate Sanction. The cliffhanger/segue at the end of the book sees an appearance of Ikon of the Space-Knights looking to lead the new team. Are Star-lord and Nova really dead ? Can the Annihilators really protect the universe as their predecessors did ? Find out as Abnett & Lanning take us into the Marvel cosmic future with Annihilators !
