King Conan: The Scarlet Citadel is what a Sword and Sorcery tale needs to be; full of creatures created for a nightmarish world of dark, humid dungeons populated by grotesque humanity and the ever present giant venomous constrictor. This is Conan at his best.
Telling the story as a narration from an old King Conan is great as it gives the story a fresh perspective and helps explain the fate of other characters that are associated with Conan's long life and many stories.
