An anthology that only tells one story over and over again

If I ever knew they were shorts (a la the Manifest Destiny mini-series), I didn't remember it. Frankly, it's a bit of a turnoff. Do we really need 3 issues and 8 pages each to tell the same basic story for each character. This mini-series just comes off as a money grab as opposed to anything remotely interesting. Lovely covers by Jae Lee though.
