A personal opinion...could this arc be KEY to "Flash: Rebirth?"
|
I've been a reader of comics for a long time, and I've made predictions to stories...some have been right, some have been wrong.
Well, I'm putting this particular storyline from the latter part of the entire run of IMPULSE on trial for being key to FLASH: REBIRTH.
"Mercury Falling" wasn't a BAD story in and of itself, and it showed Bart had at least an inkling of forethought in his heavily-haired head and demonstrated a love for his mentor, Max Mercury, that he might not have said alot, but showed.
So, WHY is DC choosing to solicit a trade paperback of this particular storyline? Why does the sky rumble when Barry mentions Max's name in FLASH: REBIRTH #2? Well, if you put two and two together, I'm guessing that Max Mercury has something to do with the events in the "FLASH: REBIRTH" storyline...in fact, I think he's the mastermind behind it all.
As the weeks unfold in the series, we'll certainly see, but in the meantime, I really REALLY think you should go out and grab this little gem of a book, and why not snag the WHOLE STORYLINE too?
As a Flash fan, you might be glad you did.
