Excalibur (1988) 27-B by Marvel
Item Bio
"Reel People"
The Weird Happenings Organization has contacted Excalibur about a woman who claims to be from another dimension. As it turns out, she is and the dimension is one occupied by the Nth Man! Jamie Braddock seems to be connected to the cross-dimensional rift as Nightcrawler and Phoenix are sent to this other dimension via Jamie's TV.
This printing was 1 of 20 reprints of Marvel comics that was available from the 1993 JC Penney Christmas Catalog. The set was sold for $14.99. This edition was almost identical to the original, except that the advertisements were replaced with modern products. Unlike the 1992 and 1994 Marvel Vintage Packs, "Second Printing" was not added to the indicia. It is easily identifiable by the swinging Spider-Man logo in the UPC box and the X-Men videos ad on the back cover.
The complete set consisted of: Amazing Spider-Man (1963) #330B Avengers (1963) #4C Captain America (1968) #241C and 371B Excalibur (1988) #27B Fantastic Four (1961) #51B Ghost Rider (1990) #10B Incredible Hulk (1968) #333B Marvel Milestone Edition: Amazing Spider-Man #1B Marvel Milestone Edition: Tales of Suspense #39B Marvel Milestone Edition: X-Men #1B Namor, the Sub-Mariner #8B New Warriors (1990) #3B Spectacular Spider-Man (1976) #26B and 27C Thor (1966) #312C Uncanny X-Men #245B What If...? #4B X-Men (1963) #60C and 61B

|
| 4/26/2013 10:27:38 AM |
The Longbox has just posted our 1000th Hero Rating! Many thanks to all of our valued customers who helped make this possible!
I'd even like to thank all those who have left us our 4 Mortal and 1 Villain rating. It keeps us well-rounded, and helps build character!
An extra thanks to comicuniversity, who gave us our 1000th Hero Rating. For his part in the scheme, he has won himself a 40% discount voucher towards his next order. Congratulations!
And just so this post isn't all about the gloating--stop by our store to pick up the ONLY copy of Rocket Raccoon #1 on CCL! Someone already snatched up #2, so this is all that's left of any issue of the series. Now get to it!
Wait, I think that was gloating, too....:-$
