Conan the Barbarian (1970) 96-A

"The Long Night of Fang and Talon!" Part one

Conan and the lion Sholo walk the jungle beneath a full moon, searching for another way into the lost city of Abombi. There, the Beast-King Ajaga holds Belit, as well as many of the Chieftains daughters, prisoner. Sholo seems to alert Conan to a cave, which opens up into a tunnel that appears to lead through the mountains, and hopefully to Belit. Suddenly the rock beneath their feet gives way, and the two traveling companions are dropped into an underground river. This most certainly was a trap set by Ajaga. While submerged in the raging river, Conan is all-of-a-sudden attacked by a giant phosphorescent eel. Our hero barely manages to kill the serpent like creature, and while still underwater runs out of air, and an unconscious form floats to shore. There he is found by Ajaga's minions, bound, and dragged back to their master. Meanwhile, Sholo finally emerges from the river and finds his way to a cptive Belit, and helps her escape.
