Ties into Countdown #42 -
Lois catches Jimmy drawing possible super-hero costumes for his new found powers. Perry sends Jimmy and Clark on an assignment to Stryker's Island for a hearing requested by Dr. K. Russell Abernathy, aka Kryptonite Man.
Jimmy recalls a past adventure, which resulted in Superman giving him his signal watch.
After a brief deliberation, the judge decides to deny Dr. Abernathy's petition. This sets the Kryptonite Man on a rampage, whhich is quickly subdued by Superman.
