New Subscription Credits
10/2/2014 10:43:51 AM
While we continue to grow it's about time to add another layer of subscription kick-backs. Beginning with the March deliveries, if you're subscribing to 4 titles or more and emptying your hold-box or having them shipped at least once a month, you will now be getting a 20% cover price credit for walk-in customers and in addition we will now begin giving the subscribers we ship to 10% of cover in store credit. The credits can accumulate or be used instantly on any non consignment back issues 2 years old or more including items listed on CCL as well as the thousands of comics not listed, action figures, previiously owned graphic novels and tradepaperbacks. Credits begin with the next issue not in stock when added to yuor list. Hopefully as we continue to grow we can continue to add on additional discounts and credits as we qualify for them.
Thousands of New Comics in stock and more arrving Weekly, bagged and boarded on arrival for protection.
Free Hold-Box setup (Automatic Free Layaway for new issues prior to shipping or you picking them up) so you don't miss an issue or get one that's been overly fondled)
Over 150,000 back issues to choose from & still growing.
Over 10,000 back issue titles & more than 200 new titles a month coming in.
Over 40,000 individual items viewable online. Many more in person and if we don't have a copy for sale we may let you read one out of our private collection.
Over 1,400 bundled lots and a rapidly growing collection of complete new title bundled lots available to view in person. Bundled lots are typically complete sets of stories or titles from 2 issues up to 200 issues ready to read and sometimes containing key story continuation issues from other titles. In other cases they can be starter sets to try out a title or maybe breaking large titles up into more affordable pieces. (We don't like finishing issue 23 at 9PM at night just to find out the story is continued into issue 47 of a different title we don't have and can't get ahold of rapidly either.)
Order's ready for pick-up in under an hour usually during daylight hours, by 7AM usually if ordered at night or come by and we can pull as we go on the spot.
As we get time we're scanning individual issues and linking them in from Photobucket. If the comic you desire hasn't been scanned yet let us know and it can usually happen quickly.
Hundred's of action figures, graphic novels, trade paper backs, magazines, comics, bundled lots, bags, boards, comic boxes, peacock feathers and even some books with words not listed online available for walk-in traffic.
Directions in general to save a few phone calls whether you're coming today or any day.
If you draw a flattened X through the state of Virginia it could be called highways 360 and 460.
360 runs in the direction from Richmond to South Boston/Danville area.
460 runs from the Petersburg to Roanoke areas.
They crisscross at Burkeville which is about 4 miles from here.
460 comes directly through Crewe. 360 passes by about a mile or so above Crewe.
If you can find 460 and Crewe there's 3 stop lights in Crewe on 460. One's for the fire department which you'll drive right through most days. The one on the other end gives you the option to turn and head towards Victoria on highway 49. The stoplight in the middle gives you the choice to turn onto Carter street or keep going on 460. Turn onto Carter street. Come in one block and there's another stop light or technically 4 facing all directions since we got fancy and did away with the one hanging in the middle the fire trucks used to run into during the Christmas parade. Turn right and we'll be on the left between the tanning salon and hardware store.
Interstate 85 and 95 pass by a little to the east. You can get off 85 close to Petersburg and come directly down 460 which is a 60 mph zone once you get a bit away from the airport area with no stop lights most of the way. Basically it's about a 45 minute drive depending on your foot pressure on the peddle.
95 ties in easily on 360 at the Richmond area/Hull Street. Again it's about 45 minutes or so driving from there depending on traffic and foot pressure but they're adding more stop lights every time you blink so I frequently bypass Hull Street by taking 460 to 85 which connects to 95 and 288 bypass to get to the east side of Richmond with less stops.
Roanoke is about 2 hours down 460. Lynchburg's about an hour. Farmville/Longwood College/Hampton Sydney College is about 20 minutes. Blackstone/Fort Pickett is maybe 10 minutes. Once again all times depend on your preference for foot pressure on the peddle.
South Hill, Lunenburg, Lawrenceville and a variety of other locations can be accessed in 30 minutes or so by the back roads 49, 46 and other back roads loaded with deer and squirrels to dodge.
