Conan ventures into the frozen north and comes to the aid of an Aesir woman whose village is being invaded by the Vanir. Invited to the Chieftain Niord's table as gratitude Conan recalls his grandfathers journeys and a tale of a land beyond the north wind, a land of eternal summer and marble towers, and a land rich with precious stones and metals called Hyperborea!
