The gang is going out to enjoy a warm winter's day at the pond when Logan is called away by a visitor, its an inspector for the Department of Education. Logan leads her around but the building and grounds are not in any shape and that leads her to place the school on probation. Meanwhile at the pond, tempers get the best of the team. Logan is attacked by an old enemy, Sauron. Jean and Scott arrive in Alaska to rest and recuperate in their new civilian lives.
