Triangle 1994-5. Continued from Action Comics (1938) #695 and continues in Superman (1987) #86.

After hearing that Superman has died and returned to life, Lobo travels to Earth to make sure the Man of Steel dies again and stays dead. Superman and Lobo's ensuing battle rages on and carries them into space where Kal-El learns that his powers are in fact increasing as he had begun to suspect, but the latest revelation is that he no longer needs to breathe.
