Abe Sapien, Johann Kraus, Kate Corrigan, and the BPRD field team watch as the Subterranean proto-humans launch their attack of giant walkers, laying Munich to waste. Abe has had experience with the Subterraneans before, though, and has a hunch on what it will take to stop them at their power source, a gigantic underground generator. In the past, the Subterraneans had captured and stolen Liz Sherman's life-force to power their generators. The mystery remains, what now is their power source? Elsewhere, Agent Andrew Devon is following clues to the B.P.R.D.'s mission, the mystery of Lobster Johnson.
