Cliff is unconscious in his hanger after his clumsy attempt of using the jetpack, and is grabbed by the Feds, but on the way back for questioning, Nazis waylay them. Cliff barely escapes, and both Betty and Peevy urge him to turn himself in before he ends up dead. Cliff declines and does his best to rescue his shakey employment situation, but while he does, the Nazis grab Betty. It takes some daredevil piloting skills on Cliff's part to rescue her, but things are getting too hot for Cliff's liking.

Twin crime lords vie for control of the city's gangland activity, and one of them keeps an odd companion, Queen Bee, who never speaks, but whose humming has disastrous consequences for those who hear it. Missing Man and Ma's Detective Agency have their hands full trying to stop the war, get evidence, and save the tragic figure of Queen Bee.
