Doctor Bruce Banner awakens in the midst of disaster zone. The emergency response crews think that a freak tornado has struck, but Bruce knows better. Those thieves tried to roll him at the homeless shelter where he had been hiding, and the Hulk's ensuing rampage destroyed city blocks and killed countless people. Somebody other than Bruce knows, as well. Doctor Leonard Sampson has a strike squad poised waiting for signs of the man who created this Hell on Earth. Banner helps out any way he can in the recovery efforts, but the guilt gets to be too much to bear, and he sneaks out with a guard's pistol to a desolate location to do the only thing that will take his inner turmoil away.
