Kang has a plan to steal the power of the Celestials by using a human Celestial, Manta. But Manta is fighting alongside of the FF and follows Kang after he takes Manta. The FF end up in California where they fight Kang but Johnny looses control of his flame and forces Kang to abort his mission, for now.
