"Born Again?"

Doctor Strange detects a disturbance in the mystic forces that comes from within his own sanctum. He finds that the woman Victoria Montessi, whom he had previously put under a spell of time suspension when she had become impregnated with the dark essence of Chthon the world destoyer, has been awakened.

Chthon has sent an emissary, the Midwife, who has cut through Strange's defences and pierced his spell on the young woman, bringing her to the threshold of delivering the Chthon's spawn to this world, in essence, becoming a living portal. Doctor Strange must travel to Chthon's own dimension and face down the dark god.

This marks the last issue of a regular title for the character. Subsequent publication has been mini series, annuals, or one-shots.
