"The Goldilocks Syndrome!"

The X-Men run headlong into the New Mutants as they try to reach Professor X who has the last of the Brood Queen inside of him but they are too late. Professor X transforms into the Brood Queen but she is stopped by Storm and Binary. The X-Men learn that it is too late to transform Charles back but with the help of Moira and Sikorsky, they clone a new body and transfer the mind of Charles over to the clone. Meanwhile, Lilandra is informed that Galactus has been saved by the Fantastic Four, and she issues a warning to them on behalf of the Shi'Ar Empire, though she is no longer in control of the empire. With Charles back and having the use of his legs again, he tells Kitty that she is no longer an X-Man and she must join the younger New Mutants team.
