*In a single day and night, the Keep have secured complete control over the earth and begun to gather many of its heroes, including members of the NewMen and Youngblood.

The remaining heroes have fathered to see if there is song way their combined might can avert this world shattering force. Kid Supreme, impatient a the heroes' inaction, launched an assault on his own only to be defeated (perhaps fatally) at the hands of the mysterious Shepherd.

In the wake of Kid Supreme's defeat, Youngblood secretary Alan Keever implored the heroes to end the conflict without violence, but before he could complete his plea for a peaceful solution, he was interrupted by the sudden appearance of the Maximage... *Source: Maximage #2
