Largest known Hulk collection that is currently up for sale
(lot of 374 issues)
You are looking at the largest known Hulk collection that is currently up for sale. It is the complete second volume of Hulk, almost 400 consecutive issues.
A little background on the Hulk monthly series. The first Hulk volume was canceled after only six issues. After a while the Hulk then went on to appear in a book called Tales to Astonish.
After Tales to Astonish #101 Marvel decided to rename the book Incredible Hulk beginning with #102. This is when the book officially became known as the second volume of the Incredible Hulk.
The second volume contiued on until #474 when it was cancelled in 1999 due to fan reaction of long time writer Peter David leaving the book.
This lot contains ever issue of the second volume including Wolverine's first appearance in Hulk #181. It is in Very Fine condition and that issue alone is valued at almost $1,000
This is a personal collection so the books were taken very good care of. The conditions on the books range mainly from fine to very fine.

Incredible Hulk (1968) 119-A by Marvel
Item Bio
"At the Mercy of-- Maximus the Mad!"
The Hulk's battle against Namor has washed Bruce Banner up on the shores of the island nation of Costa Salvador, where weird doings are afoot. Banner finds the natives under a state of brain-control, the cause being a colossal statue that emits a beacon.
Banner nearly succumbs to the signal himself, before changing to the Hulk, and bringing the fight to mastermind of the plan; Inhuman, Maximus the Mad.
Maximus has run this pilot program, with the support of his group of outlaw Inhumans. His plan is to slowly take over the Americas, then press Black Bolt for control of the Inhuman nation.
Another fly in the ointment is the US military, who sense trouble in Costa Salvador, and send in forces. As the Hulk has fought the Inhumans to a standstill, the Army approaches, and Maximus asks Hulk, "Are you with me or against me?". 20 pages.
