Triangle 1993-29. Continued from Action Comics (1938) #691 and continues in Superman (1987) #82.

Steel and Superman continue their assault on Engine City as Mongul begins the ignition sequence. Confronted by Mongul they are given the choice of stopping his escape or stopping the engine. Deciding to split up, Steel heads toward the reactor while Superman stays behind to battle Mongul.

Cyborg Superman heads Steel off in the reactor room and battles him but loses the upper hand by offering too much information about the workings of the machinery. Steel lodges one of the cyborg's constructs in the gears of the machinery and blows out the magnetic field generator.

With the invisible aid of Supergirl, Superman battles Mongul but the monster seems unstoppable and Kal-El is badly beaten.

In Metropolis Lois is determined to get to Engine City to be by Clark, no matter what.
