Scott and Madelyne are struck down by a thunderstorm on their way to their honeymoon. The two fight a giant squid before getting the plane back up into the sky. Scott decides to stay on Earth, rather than join his father and the Starjammers. Meanwhile, Henry Peter Gyrich reports to the President on the mutant situation, as the Government wants to deal with the growing mutant threat since foreign governments are now using mutants. Logan confronts Mariko after receiving the sword of honor, but she and the clan are now tied to the Underground and only she can restore their honor.
