First & Last part 1
Jean Grey arrives at the Xavier Institute of Learning for Gifted Students as she meets her fellow classmates for the first time but something is all wrong. She meets Bobby Drake, Hank McCoy, Remy LeBeau and Ororo Monroe but she knows that the last two should not be there. The team trains together and finally gets their first mission when Cerebro discovers a mutant. The team travels to meet the mutant, Peter Rasputin, in a carnival but they are confronted by Magneto and his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. During the ensuing battle, Scott "Slim" Summers arrives to let them know that it is Apocalypse who has created this illusion to throw them off. Scott turns into Apocalypse, since they have been combined, and the X-Men drive him off. Jean leaves the team since she feels that there was another way to reach Scott in the combined creature.
