Uncanny X-Men (1981) 275-A

Giant-Sized. "The Path Not Taken!"

The trap has been sprung but the X-Men break out of it as Wolverine goes after Deathbird. The X-Men are joined by the Star Jammers and Lilandra as they defeat the Imperial Guard and Wolverine captures Deathbird and restores Lilandra to the throne of the Shi'Ar Empire. But that's not the only surprise as the X-Men are reunited with Professor Xavier. But its not all festivities as the X-Men are hunted one-by-one before the coronation of Lilandra. Meanwhile, Nick Fury and his team are inbound to start their assault on Zaladane but Magneto is betrayed by Colonel Semyanov, who tries to avenge the murder of his son by Magneto. Magneto is captured by Zaladane as his powers are drained out and transferred to her but she spares him the final blow, for now. Fury and the survivors of Semyanov's treachery and defection, continue on with their mission to assault Zaladane's fortress. Magneto escapes and reverses Zaladane's drain on his powers and defeats Zaladane for good.
