"We Do Seek Out New Avengers"

With the Avengers active membership down to 3, the call goes out for new applicants. Iron Man nominates Moon Dragon for a slot. The Black Panther, Captain America, Hercules, the Black Widow and Quicksilver decline invitations. Both Janet Van Dyne and Henry Pym rejoin, even though Yellow Jacket and Hawkeye don't see eye-to-eye. Thor proposes a try-out at a nearby empty stadium, and a surprise applicant comes out of the blue. Henry McCoy, the Beast and ex-X-Man makes his case, and before he can receive his reply, the team is under attack by a mystery assailant. The Avengers' mainstays go down one at a time trying to respond with only the Beast left on his blue, furry feet. As he completes the challenge, the antagonist reveals himself. The Stranger has run the new team through the wringer for his amusement, but seems to have a serious issue with Moondragon. They lock minds in combat, but the Stranger breaks it off and departs, vowing that his business with the Avengers is not finished.
