The X-Men return to Xavier's school where they are reunited with the New Mutants but tensions run high between the two teams. Jean reconnects with her old friend, Storm as they relive the past and the second chance they have each been handed. But they must place their differences aside as the school falls under attack by a Genoshan attack force. But the force is not all Genoshans as Alex Summers is part of the attack and the Genoshan's manage to capture most of the New Mutants.
