"The Monarch and the Monster!"

As Namor struggles with the monster spawned of the radio-active waste known only as 'It', the US military attacks. The Sub-Mariner frees himself long enough to deal with the submarine, but the monster comes raging back, crashing through the hull of the sub. The military now see their error in blaming the base attack on Atlantis, but Namor goes home thinking that the monster was a purposeful strike against Atlantis by the surface world, and decides to go to war.

"He Who Strikes the Silver Surfer"

The Hulk is indignant at being struck by the Silver Surfer, and tries to take by force what he wants: to be taken to a different world. In his wisdom, the Surfer empathizes with the Hulk but tells him that he cannot comply, as he himself is a prisoner of Earth by Galactus' will. This only further angers the Hulk. Ultimately, the Surfer makes a move to cure the Hulk, but the Hulk assumes that it is an attack and strikes out. Indifferent to the Hulk's plight, the Surfer leaves.
