"You Can Take the Cop Out of the Sewer..."
Detective Frank Hoag has done some favors for the mob to make some extra pay, but when they ask him to kill another cop, even he has limits. The Mob doesn't take 'No' lightly, and has Hoag executed gangland style, his bleeding body dumped into the industrial wastes of the sewer. Hoag doesn't quite die, but transforms into Sludge, a hulking pile of goop that has trouble thinking straight, but clearly still has the heart of a police officer.

"Rune, Part A: The Prophesy"
Rune, the alien vampire, has lived long, but his body is failing him. He casts his rune stones to determine his fate, and finds that the End is not here yet...that there is a source of power nearby on which he might feed and regain his former might. 3 pages.
