*Having been sent into the future to observe future fighting techniques, Badger returns to the 20th century accompanied by Luther Ironheart, Reuben Flagg's robotic deputy. But the spell cast by Ham the Weather Wizard to retrieve Badger rips a hole in the fabric of space, allowing the demonic Count Kohler to also return to Earth.
To defeat the count, Ham has to make a ritual sacrifice, stilling the heart of one who is pure. But it's hard to find a pure heart these days, and the only handy candidate is Luther. To complete the spell, Luther is switched "off," and Ham and Badger defeat Kohler, once again banishing him from this dimension. But in so doing, the deactivated Luther Ironheart is cast adrift in the void of time... *Source: Crossroads #4 recap page
