Largest known Hulk collection that is currently up for sale (lot of 374 issues)
You are looking at the largest known Hulk collection that is currently up for sale. It is the complete second volume of Hulk, almost 400 consecutive issues.

A little background on the Hulk monthly series. The first Hulk volume was canceled after only six issues. After a while the Hulk then went on to appear in a book called Tales to Astonish.

After Tales to Astonish #101 Marvel decided to rename the book Incredible Hulk beginning with #102. This is when the book officially became known as the second volume of the Incredible Hulk.

The second volume contiued on until #474 when it was cancelled in 1999 due to fan reaction of long time writer Peter David leaving the book.

This lot contains ever issue of the second volume including Wolverine's first appearance in Hulk #181. It is in Very Fine condition and that issue alone is valued at almost $1,000

This is a personal collection so the books were taken very good care of. The conditions on the books range mainly from fine to very fine.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Item Bio
"The Brute Battles On!"

The Galaxy Master, a God-like entity who can assume any form, roams space, destroying all civilizations that it finds in an effort to become supreme. The exception to this is the one race that he subjugated, who serve him on his quest. The Princess of this race sees the Hulk as their potential ally to win their freedom. Her Uncle, the Warlord, has grown rich in his servitude to the Galaxy Master, and wants no change. So when the Galaxy Master cannot do any better than reach a stalemate with the Hulk, the Princess starts a rebellion, hoping to tip the odds. The Warlord betrays her, but, ultimately, the Hulk rescues the Princess, and destroys the Galaxy Master. The Hulk is sent home-bound on a rocket, but when he changes to Banner, he finds he can't long survive the cabin conditions. 20 pages.

Reprinted in Marvel Super-Heroes (1967) #66 Reprint notes: 18 of 20 pages (omits page 12 and 16); figure of the Hulk redrawn on cover reprint.
