As the bloodthirsty aliens continue to kill the homeless and other helpless victims in Metropolis, Gemir shows that he is not so picky about what he feeds on. Finding the corpse of Sasha Green in a Lexcorp landfill, he drains her spinal fluid and by doing so triggers her metagene. Weeks after her brutal murder at the hands of Luthor, Sasha awakens with no memory.

Metropolis police commissioner Bill Henderson is investigating the grisly murders at the site of yet another stash of corpses and makes it clear to the new Cyborg Superman that not only is he not welcome but Henderson does not believe him to be Superman as he claims.
