"The Curing of Dr. Banner!"
After years of traumatic transformations and Hulk tantrums, Bruce Banner is finally cured. His Gamma irradiation has worn off.
This new status is tested when Banner is punched by a protective boyfriend after kissing a young woman in his euphoria. Adrenaline pumps, pulse pounds, but crucially, the Hulk doesn't appear.
On Gamma Base, a wandering desert vagrant turns out to be something far more sinister and deadly.
Newly conscientious Bruce Banner makes arrangements to fly to New Mexico to inform General Ross that the Hulkbusters can retire peaceably. Bruce will wish he had just phoned, as when he lands the military staff all act in a stiff, robotic manner.
Banner and his pilot are ushered into a darkened room, but when the lights come on, they are greeted to the sight of Leonard Samson and General Ross shackled before the mercy of the Leader.
