The remaining mob bosses use an inverted Batsignal to call Batman for help. They tell Batman about a child killer that they murdered twenty years ago that wouldn't stay dead. Bruce is still haunted by nightmares about his childhood. As Mr. Whisper goes to kill Ottavio Morgenstern, Batman interrupts him and is thrown off the apartment building by Whisper. After making his way back, Batman once again confronts Whisper who jumps off the building and survives the fall. Batman realizes Whisper was his old school teacher.
