Conan the Barbarian (1970) 35-A

"The Hell-Spawn of Kara-Shehr"

After leaving Wan-Tengri, Conan and Bourtai make their way across a vaste desert wasteland, on their way to Aghrapur - Capital of Turan. Soon the pair come across a band of Brigands, questioning a prisoner. Conan rushes to the mans aid, but when he's spotted, they attempt to kill the man, and flee. Conan and Bourtai try to help the dying man, until the desert raiders return, forcing our hero to retreat. With his last breath, the dying man tells Conan the legend of a lost city in the desert - Kara Shehr, and a great jewel - the Azure Eye. They try to make the man comfortable, but it's too late for him. Soon after, while wandering the maze of desert dunes, under a full, blood red Moon, the pair stumbles upon the lost city. With the temptation of finding the great jewel within, Conan and Bourtai start to explore the inner halls of the lost city. Soon they enter a great hall, within the temple, and there before them, a seated skeleton with a great blue jewel, clutched in its bony hand - the Azure Eye. Soon the Brigands arrive and claim the jewel for their own, but when it's removed from the skeleton's hand, a mysterious spirit is conjured in a whirl of sand and wind. Will Conan survive the skirmish with the desert raiders, and the threat of the phantom Demon?
