The world over half a century from now is both glorious and terrifying. The marauding alien Horde were defeated by Earth's heroes, Strikeforce: Morituri. The surviving Morituri saw the world government splinter due to corruption and intrigue.

Now the Morituri discover conflicting and insidious inhuman forces are manipulating terran events, maneuvering toward a cataclysmic conflict that will make the Horde War pale by comparison. Four Morituri and their few allies struggle to survive in the Electric Undertow.

Haunted by the ghost of a fallen comrade, Scanner fears for his sanity while trying to ignore the specter's warning of impending global calamity. As evidence in the real world mounts, supporting the ghost's statements, Scanner's sanity teeters on the edge, mirroring the Earth's precarious position.
