Uncanny X-Men (1981) 150-A

"I, Magneto..."

Searching for Scott Summers and Lee Forrester, the X-Men arrive on Magneto's island. Finding Scott and Lee, the team learns that they will have to fight Magneto without their mutant powers. Realizing that Magneto is not yet aware of their presence on his island, the X-Men set off to do as much damage as they can before they lose the advantage.

As the men set off to destroy Magneto's machines, the women head to Magneto's computer complex. While Kitty tries to figure out the computers, Storm locates a sleeping Magneto. Contemplating killing the X-Men's long time enemy, Storm hesitates too long. Awakening and seeing Storm standing over him with a knife, Magneto tosses her through the window. Before he can begin a search for the other X-Men, Magneto is subjected to a telepathic assault from Professor Xavier.

Meanwhile, Colossus, Wolverine, Cyclops and Nightcrawler have been busy wreaking destruction on Magneto's machinery. Thinking they have succeeded in stopping Magneto's plans, the X-Men are surprised when Magneto appears with Professor Xavier, Kitty Pryde and Lee Forrester as his prisoners. Magneto quickly restores his machinery and captures the remaining X-Men.

Magneto's victory is short lived. While he tells the other X-Men that Storm is dead, a very much alive Storm damages his mutant inhibitor machine, restoring the X-Men's powers.
While the X-Men and Magneto battle, Cyclops sends Kitty to destroy Magneto's computers. Alerted to what is happening with his computers, Magneto flies into a rage and strikes out at Kitty. Magneto's fury subsides when he realizes that he may have killed Kitty. Filled with remorse, Magneto ends the battle and disappears, leaving the X-Men wonder if the day’s events will help to change him.
