Starfire receives a transmission from her brother, Ryand'r, detailing his escape from their sister's rule on Tamaran and subsequent rescue by the remaining Omega Men. The Omega Men, last seen in Omega Men (Vol 1) #38, are searching for Primus and Kalista, who disappeared on Euphorix just prior to the mass teleportation of willing Vegans from their homeworlds to the New Vega colony, and Ryand'r joins them on their quest deep into the bowels of the planet, where they discover more than they expected about the fates of Primus and Kalista, and learn secrets about the origins of Euphorixian faith and culture.
