Madelyne wakes up from her coma after surviving an encounter with the Marauders. Meanwhile, the wounded are moved to Moira's island for proper treatment and protection from the Marauders. Storm and Wolverine go up state to investigate a fire at the home of Jean Grey's sister. But something at the site sends Wolverine into a rage as he runs off, leaving behind Storm who gets picked up by three old WWII superheroes who now hunt criminals in a bizarre game.
