Someone wants to get Superman off the planet, they actually accomplish it. It would appear that Earth is a piece of real-estate belonging to another planet. The rulers of this planet have removed Superman from the equation and have clouded the minds of Earths' heroes, so that they don't know who they are and can't help. It would appear that Clark Kent has a fan club, which appears during a live-broadcast. Much to the chagrin of Morgan Edge, he allows them a tour of the studio by Clark.
