A Goon Tenth Anniversary Celebration Issue
A flashback to some untold time show us how the Zombie Priest became cursed when he was tested by a witch. Back to the present, the Zombie Priest sits forlorn in his stronghold, eyeless, with only his last companion Cat for company. He asks Cat if he is willing to make a big sacrifice for him and the Cat surrenders one of his eyes for his master. The Zombie Priest vows vengeance. Elsewhere, the Goon has crushed all of his enemies, but lost both of his loves in the process, and is an empty man. Franky's efforts to cheer him up fall on deaf ears. When the kids mix it up with a local hobo, the hobo calls upon the Hobo God to get his vengeance. The kids are in deep trouble, and that's enough to stir the Goon out of his reverie. After some good hobo stomping, there's a cheerful reunion at Norton's Pub.
Also, pin-ups by some of the greatest talents in horror comics, including Mignola, Ploog, Nowlan, Wrightson, Smith, and others.
Includes a sketchbook of early Powell concepts for the Goon, and travel log and photos of Powell on tour.
