It's April 1944, Captain America and Bucky embark on a covert mission with Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos behind enemy lines near the borders of Austria and Latveria. It seems the Red Skull is at large in the area seeking something that will give him victory over the Allied Forces.
Bucky is wounded in a skirmish with Nazi patrol troops. Cap rushes him to the nearby village where their Resistance contacts are waiting.
Bucky finds himself attracted to the daughter of the doctor who saves his life, as Cap and Fury's commandos storm the castle ruins where the Red Skull is ensconced.
