Werewolf by Night (1972) 2-A by Marvel
Item Bio
"The Hunter.. .. and the Hunted!"
On one of his full-moon night rampages the Werewolf narrowly escapes capture by cocksure cops and mysterious pursuers in a helicopter. After tangling with a somewhat peckish shark, the Werewolf collapses on the shore to transform back into Jack Russell. Jack is rescued by a pair of benevolent beach bums and given a ride back to Buck Cowan's place, where he has been staying since leaving the family home. Jack entrusts a priest, Father Joquez with the task of translating the Book of Darkhold. Back at Buck's place Jack receives two strange visitors. One of the strangers alludes to knowing Jack's secret, in order to lure him out to a waiting car. Jack regains consciousness in the customary mad scientist's lab hooked up to some contraption. The mad scientist in question plans to steal the pure animal energy of the Werewolf from Jack to preserve his own unnaturally augmented life. The Werewolf's instincts for self preservation are tested to their very limit.
