Concerned by his jumbled memories, Cap demands answers at S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Manhattan headquarters. Nick Fury is elsewhere attempting to interrogate his WWII nemesis, Baron Strucker.
At an old Army barracks the key to Steve Rogers' past is uncovered. What happened to Cap's first shield? Where did Cap's false memories stem from? The answers are all contained in Steve's Army footlocker.
No sooner than Cap is reassured about his past, he is attacked by the newly-emancipated Baron Strucker in Fury's flying Ferrari.
