Fantastic Four (1961) 214-A

"...And Then There Was One..."

Johnny wallows in self pity as his friends are locked away in cryo-tubes to help stop their accelerated aging process. As Johnny's panic slows down he gets his wits about him and searches out the one mind as smart as Reed's own, Tony Stark. Johnny starts at Stark Industry, then moves on to the Avengers when Tony is not at work. Jeeves gives a glimmer of hope when he tells Johnny that Tony Stark is working with SHIELD. Johnny seeks out the flying SHIELD headquarters only to find out that Tony is working on a very dangerous mission and can not be disturbed. Johnny returns to the Baxter Building in defeat when he is attacked by the Skrull that they thought was defeated. Johnny manages to defeat the Skrull and picks up on a clue dropped in the heat of battle as the Skrull has the same weapon used against the rest of the FF. In a last ditch effort, Johnny revives Reed in order for Reed to examine the weapon and reverse its effects. It works and the FF are returned to normal.
