As he struggles to stay unseen in the sparsely populated area, he is tracked by a stranger. He tries to elude his pursuer, but to no avail. Once he meets the stranger, he learns the grim truth of what took place when the lightning struck. 6 pages.

A scientist develops a serum that will extend life a thousand years, but can only produce enough for himself. He lives into the far future, when man has ravished the Earth, and departs for life amongst the stars. A Martian comes to take it, and stumbles upon a Halloween party at the scientists home. He abducts the scientist, but finds that the Jovians have beaten him to the punch. 5 pages.
