There will be 3 environments available to choose from each round. Each round, an environment will be taken away and one added. Once we get down to 2 fights per round, changes in environments will occur every other round instead.

Environments are selected by the home team manager, unless the visiting manager uses an Environment Steal Card


In addition to the "regular" environments, there will be an "extra" environment that is only available for use by the Environment Steal Card.


All environments are played out in real time, meaning that the fight takes place over the span of 24 hours. Some desription is provided with the environments, however it is up to the managers to convince the voters of what those environments look like.

Players are free to use anything from the environment that the character could naturally use in a comic book written about the same area. Cyclops for instance is trained to fly the X-Jet; therefore it is assumed he can fly aircraft. King Shark on the other hand has no proven flying experience. Creativity and convincibilty are the keys here.

The entire Olympic Park is in play. It is up to the managers to debate what activities and events are taking place. Remember, the fight lasts 24 hours, so what's happening around you may change based on the time of day in London.

You and your opponent suddenly appear in Milliways, The Restaurant at the End of the Universe. It's a busy night and those present could make up a "Whose Who's " from across the known Multiverse (and probably some unknown parts as well). If you look closely, you're bound to see more than a few familiar faces.

The fight is confined to the inside of the restaurant. Stay on your toes, you don't want to bump into the wrong being, or you may find yourself fighting more than just your opponent. Oh, and you may want to order a bite to eat, you'll be hanging around here for the next 24 hours.

Timewarp: Pompeii, 24 August AD 79





You and your opponent are transporte across time and place to Pompeii. August 24th of the year 79 AD to be exact. As you prepare for the fight in front of you, the people around you are fleeing the town in panic. Is it terror at the sight of two strangely garbed outsiders? Or could it have something to do with the nearby mountain that is spewing smoke and ash into the sky?

The fight takes place over 24 hours. You arrive just as the erruption is beginning. The town of Pompei and Mount Vesuvius are in play. The waters off the coast are out of bounds.

Knowhere



You and your opponent find yourselves in a science station that has been built inside the severed head of a Celestial. It is curioously empty at the moment, but there are signs that it is inhabitted and the current residents may return at any moment.

Only the interior of Knowhere is in play. The fight takes place over the course of a 24 hour day.

BTW folks, don't expect to see a lot of the traditional Marvel/DC environments. There will be some, but for a change of pace I thought I'd go outside the bounds of the Marvel and DC Universes, to explore some "non-traditional" venues.

Stardate 3842.4 - These are the adventures of the Starship Enterprise

You and your opponent are transported across time, space and dimensions to find yourselves materializing on board the Federation Starship Enterprise, sometime in the year 2268. You each arrive in a different section of the starship.

The Enterprise is under the command of Captain James Tiberius Kirk. His crew includes: 1st officer - Commander Spock of Vulcan; Chief Medical Officer is Doctor Leonard McCoy; Lieutenants Uhuru, Sulu, and Checkov; Lt. Commander Montgomery Scott; Nurse Christine Chapel; and various and sundry other personnel, including the obligatory, disposable security officers

At this time, the Enterprise is transporting dignataries from several Federation worlds to a diplomatic conference on Babel. These diplomats and their delegations are also present on the Enterprise.

The fight takes place over the course of 24 hours. The entire starship is in play.

If you have enhance vision, you may notice that a nearby Street Sign reads Mockingbird Lane. (If you don't have good eyes, you'll have to take my word for it, the sign is out of bounds.)

The house is home to a family of five: Herman and Lily Munster; their son Eddie; Lily's father, who can often be found hanging out in his basement laboratory; and Lily's niece Marilyn, the "ugly duckling" of the family. Oh and don't forget Eddie's pet, Spot, who lives under the stairs. The family may or may not be home at the time of the fight.

The house and it's grounds are in play. Anything on the other side of the walls surrounding the grounds is out of bounds.

The entire planet is in play, so it's possible that your battle may intersect with the fight between the Rebel alliance and the Empire before the day is out.

A Sciencell on Oa





You and your opponent find yourselves confined with in a Sciencell on the planet Oa. Sciencells are nearly impenetrable prison cells designed to neutralize the powers of the beings they contain. The environment is restricted to the interior of the cell.

You and your opponent are deposited among the ruins and excavations of Machu Picchu in Peru. Fighters arrive at opposited ends of the environment. Anything within the white area in the map above is in play; anything in the tan and green areas is out of bounds(If you need clarification, please ask).

You and your opponent are deposited at opposite ends of the Cave system. Cave operating hours are 8:30a.m. – 5:15p.m. Central time. The environment is confined to the interior of the Cave system.

Fangorn Forest





Welcome to Middle Earth. You and your opponent materialize in the Forest of Fangorn, also known as Entwood. Watch your step and mind your tongue, rumor has it that some of the "trees" in the forest aren't what they seem. Paths through the forest may appear and disappear; and many an uwary traveller has found themselves tripping over roots or tangled in branches after uttering an unthinking word about their surroundings.

The environment is confined to the forest.

A Sciencell on Oa





You and your opponent find yourselves confined within a Sciencell on the planet Oa. Sciencells are nearly impenetrable prison cells designed to neutralize the powers of the beings they contain. The environment is restricted to the interior of the cell.

National Museum of Natural History





You and your opponent materialize inside the National Museum of Natural History. The entire interior of the museum is in play. The fight takes place over 24 hours by the clock. You can expect the normal museum staff to be on the premises and that the museum will be open to tourists during regular visitng hours.

FIGHT 35 ENVIRONMENT

The fighters are transported to 4 Vesta, one of the largest Asteroids in the Solar System. The Asteroid is uninhabited. The characteristics of the environment are as described in the link, with one exception, the Asteroid is surrounded with a breathable atmosphere for the duration of the fight. This atmosphere extends 100 yards above the surface of the asteroid. Coincidentally, the upper limit of the environment is also 100 yards above the asteroid's surface. The entire surface of the asteroid is in play.

FIGHT 36 ENVIRONMENT

The fighters materialize on Pollepel Island in the Hudson River (also known as Bannerman's Island). For the duration of the fight, the island is uninhabited except for the SHS fighters and the native wildlife (meaning there are no tourists or park employees on the Island). The entire Island and the sky above it are in play; the water surrounding the Island is out of bounds.

FIGHT 37 (FINAL ENVIRONMENT

What better location for the SHS 1 Final Fight than the home of so many championship events, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. The College Game should be over by the time the Fight starts; you can expect the usual maintenance, security and administrative personnel for a Saturday Night and Sunday with no events planned.
